Faint line on ovulation test strip?

well i the reason why i am asking this is because i have been trying to conceive for the last 8 months. I usually ovulate around day 13 in my cycle, but this time i think i ovulated early and i was not expecting this. Today is the 11th day of my cycle and im afraid i have already ovulated. i took an ovulation test this morning and i had a line not quite as dark as the controls and tonight it was even fainter. i did not think much of it because sometime my body likes to trick me into believing i am ovulating and then after the next few days i would really ovulate. i didn't get to chart my temps this time cause the battery in my thermo died...so my question is that does the line mean anything or could it be my body tricking me again and me really ovulating when i am supposed to...on the safe side though my husband and i tried tonight just hoping that we have not been too late.
