Where is the COOLING SYSTEM THERMO FAN SWITCH on 2003 saab 93 2.0t?

I'm having same problem w my 01 saab 9-3 2.0t. I read that a common problem on these is the resistor on the fan itself burning out not allowing the low fan setting to operate causing the car to over heat in traffic. Which is what mine is doing. I remove the low fan and high fan relay and used a jumper wire to verify fan operates on low and high settings and it does so I know mine is not the resistor. now i am serching for the fan switch sensor too thinking it is not telling the computer to turn the low fan on in traffic.
